Size isn’t everything

Angry Man strikes with the stick big mosquitoes

A mosquito was in the room with me. You know what that means don’t you.

As soon as I got off to sleep, it woke me up – many times. Deliberately.

It made me do things, like get up to look for mosquito repellent left over from my last holiday, like search the walls and ceiling with gruesome intent on my mind.

I couldn’t find it.

That mosquito had power over me.

On a hot restless summer night, I was reminded of just how much power.

The Dalai Lama said, “If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito.”

I am sure he deals with mosquitos with more equanimity than I do!

Who you are or where you are is never too small to make a difference.

My best wishes, Paul
