Do you overcomplexify stuff?

100% in green on white background

According to the urban dictionary, there is such a word as ‘overcomplexify’. Who knew?

I have to hold my hand up and admit to being guilty of doing this from time to time.

Bob: I need to hang this picture. Does it look straight to you?
Steve: No, let’s go get my laser rangefinder, measuring tape, protractor, and level, just to be sure.

A common root cause of overcomplexification, is seeking perfection.

Don’t seek perfection for everything. Good enough is often good enough.

Go for the 80%, not 100%.

It’s cheaper and faster than waiting for perfection.

Where can you apply this in your life right now?

Where can you get away with not doing something perfectly?

My best wishes, Paul
